Hi everyone at South Milford Brass.
I used to play in the Sherburn High School band, then Hambleton Brass and subsequently Asda Brass. I was taught to play by the great Graham Walker and later by Ian Colley.
Glad to see the band is still going strong, good luck in the future!

Hi Claire and Dave, Bandmaster and all the band :-) !!!

Just a wee hello from north of Hadrian's Wall (well north!) ...  Wishing you all the very best in your final preparations and performance this weekend in Harrogate ...  I am sure that S Milford will do very well, and i won't be surprised at all to find out on 4barsrest should you actually win the 4rth section ...  I am keeping my fingers crossed for South Milford!

I had hoped to make it a wee family holiday with Susan and Megan and be down in Harrogate this weekend to enjoy the Nationals and to support S Milford, but a fairly recent new job in Aberdeen has made being in Harrogate not possible, unfortunately for me at least! :-)  Having being down last year with Dundee Instrumental i really enjoyed the experience, despite our last place finish :-(  I really would love to have made it down again this year, even if not competing ....  Maybe next year ...!!!

Whatever does happen at the weekend, i hope S Milford has a great time and contesting experience in Harrogate, and that you do do very well on stage ....

Come on South Milford!!

I've read the retrospective from the area so many times just to make sure that it was the same people who had, a few weeks prior to the areas, not given us a chance. The comments reflected the excellent playing of the band, but I feel didn't do sufficient justice and never could to the person that really deserved the credit our Musical Director. My Grandfather was a Bandmaster in the Salvation Army, he used to tell me as a youngster "the Bandmaster is like an Artist and must paint a picture with the Music, using the different sections of the band". Well all I can say now is good luck to us all for Harrogate and especially Richard "Van Gogh" Wilton

Hi everyone. Wow & Well Done ! I have been meaning to send a message since the fabulous reunion / anniversary concert at Snaith, but the advantage of not getting around to it very promptly, is that I can now congratulate you on your win in the same message ! I thoroughly enjoyed the concert at Snaith. It was great to see so many 'old' faces and catch up with everyone. You all played beyond my expectations and it is no surprise that you've won the areas - fantastic news and very well deserved. Not only the win, but also the player prizes too. It was great to see you all again, Best wishes to all, take care and have lots of fun, Tracey Marsh

Hi all at South Milford Brass. Many congratulations on your win in Darlington yesterday. I am a member of Bearpark and Esh Colliery band and would like to congratulate Glen on winning the first ever Ralph Bell Memorial Trophy that my band donated to the competition. I did not hear Glen perform but I have been told that he was a very worthy winner. All the best and good luck at the finals.
