Saturday 21 July2007 - South Milford Village Fete

South Milford Brass led the opening of the village's new reflective garden and provided the musical entertainment when South Milford held its first fete for two decades.

Fete organiser Laura Reilly is pictured presenting the Band with a certificate to mark its 25th anniversary.

 

 

 

 


29 April 2006 - Fairburn

Selby Times cutting of the Band at Fairburn bypass opening April 2006For decades the two sides of Fairburn village were divided by one of the countries busiest roads.  After a campaign by villagers spanning 40 years the Highways Agency finally decided to upgrade the A1to motorway standard from Darrinton in West Yorkshire to Dishforth in North Yorkshire and agreed to bypass the village of Fairburn. South Milford Brass herald the start of festivities to mark the reuniting of the village and the opening of the bypass .

 

 

 

 

 


6 November 2005 - Malton

South Milford Brass win the YHBBA contest at Malton November 2005South Milford Brass won the unregistered section of the Yorkshire & Humberside Brass Band Association competition at Malton after not competing for 4 years.  They also received the an award for  the Best March award.
